I was invited to Geneva by Galderma, a leading manufacturer of the dermal filler Restylane, botulinum toxins Azzalure and Alluziance and collagen stimulator Sculptra. Dr Rikin Parekh is a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Galderma and a senior faculty member of GAIN – the Galderma Aesthetic Injectors Network.
Galderma, a global leader in medical solutions for the skin, held its Expert Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on the 5th and 6th of November 2022. The event brought together leading dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners, researchers, and industry experts to share the latest developments and advancements in the field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
The meeting opened with an excellent welcome keynote address by Flemming Ornskov (Galderma CEO), Gerry Muhle (Galderma Head of Aesthetics Global) and Jens Dexheimer (Head of Galderma EMEAC). They all described the journey of Galderma to present, showcasing the exciting new products and soon to be launched products to improve patient outcomes. All Galderma products are based on cutting-edge technology and are backed by robust clinical data.
Dr Andreas Nikolis and Dr Desislava Lazarova then went onto describing Galderma’s new Assessment, Anatomy, Range and Treatment (AART) Methodology and how to transform patients’ concerns into Holistic Individualised Treatments (HIT) plans, like I presented at the CCR expo in London earlier this year.
Dr Desislava Lazarova, Dr Christoph Martschin, Dr Alicia Milotich, Dr Kuldeep Minocha and Dr Roberta Vasconcelos-Berg then went on to discuss the power of Restylane Skinboosters Vital and Vital Light in skin rejuvenation. This was a great session. At the Avanti Aesthetics Academy we are the only independent training provider that provides Restylane Skinboosters training in the UK and Ireland and we already know first how amazing the results are for face, neck, decolletage and hand rejuvenation.
The rest of the day and next day were dedicated to the HITs – Kiss & Smile, Bright Eyes and Shape up where the newest techniques in lip, periorbital and volumisation techniques were discussed with Galderma’s Restylane Portfolio along with Sculptra. It was invaluable getting insights from leading injectors from across the globe sharing their experience. The doctors that shared their experience were Dr Ishaan Ramkisson, Dr Frank Rosengaus, Dr Keywan Taghetchian, Dr Alexandra Oglive, Dr Ludovic Lievain, Dr Magdalena Korwin, Dr Jeff Downie, Dr Carlo DiGregorio and Dr Joanna Czuwara.
Dr Mohammed Alsufyani, a renowned dermatologist, also discussed the latest trends in the treatment of acne and rosacea with the Galderma portfolio.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the discussions of the male aesthetics journey and it was fascinating hearing the opinions of how men are treated in aesthetics globally.
The Galderma Expert Meeting 2022 in Geneva was a fantastic event, providing a valuable opportunity for dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners and industry experts to come together and share their knowledge and expertise. The event not only highlighted the latest advancements in the field of dermatology and aesthetic medicine but also provided a platform for attendees to network and collaborate.
